Garage Floor Concrete Leveling

Support and lift a settled garage floor slab.

Metro Wide uses expanding polyurethane foam to fill voids and raise eligible garage floor sections across the Kansas City metro. We evaluate low spots, uneven panels, and mismatched transitions at the overhead door and driveway.

Support Below the Surface

Address settlement before the slab loses more support.

Garage floor movement may trace back to poorly compacted fill, erosion, plumbing or drainage problems, or gradual soil consolidation. You may notice a widening joint, a dip beneath a vehicle, cracks with vertical displacement, or an abrupt difference between the driveway and garage floor.

Polyfoam can travel into empty areas beneath the floor and expand to create lightweight support. For liftable slabs, it also gives us precise control as we work the concrete toward the intended elevation. Because a garage is part of the structure, we carefully distinguish slab settlement from foundation or wall movement that requires a different specialist.

Conditions we look for

  • Low garage panels or interior slab sections.
  • A mismatched transition at the overhead door.
  • Evidence of lost support or hollow areas below the floor.
  • Settlement around a floor drain or fixed edge.
  • Cracks accompanied by a change in slab height.

Why Polyfoam

A lightweight material placed where the slab needs support.

Small access ports

The foam is installed through drilled ports rather than by removing large portions of the garage floor.

Controlled placement

We add material in stages while monitoring the slab, fixed elevations, and garage-door transition.

Void stabilization

Expanding foam helps restore contact below unsupported concrete and can limit additional movement caused by the existing void.

Garage Floor FAQ

Know what leveling can—and cannot—address.

Is a cracked garage floor liftable?

It may be. We consider crack pattern, slab integrity, fixed edges, and the amount of movement before recommending polyfoam.

Can leveling repair a foundation problem?

No. Concrete slab lifting is not foundation repair. Signs of structural movement should be evaluated by the appropriate foundation professional.

Will you inspect the driveway transition too?

Yes. The floor and driveway need to meet correctly, so both sides of the overhead-door opening should be included in the evaluation.

Plan the Whole Transition

The driveway may be part of the same repair.

Sometimes the garage floor is stable and the driveway slab has dropped; in other cases, both surfaces have moved. Looking at the full transition lets us identify which concrete needs attention.

See how driveway leveling works, or learn why void filling can be important even when only a small lift is needed.
